- big bag of corkscrew pasta
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 stalks of celery
- 1 12 oz can black olives
- 1 12 oz jar artichoke hearts, drained
- 4 stalks green onions
- 1/2 16 oz bag frozen peas, cooked then cooled
- 1/2 bottle Italian dressing
- cheddar cheese, as much as your heart desires
- 1/2 bag precut broccoli florets
Boil the pasta while you sweat bullets in the non-air conditioned kitchen. Drain it, pop it in the refrigerator to cool. Go do something else for an hour, like vacuum or fold laundry for very messy nephews. Cut up the veggies and cheese, toss into bowl with pasta. Drain olives and artichoke hearts, toss into bowl. Squirt Italian dressing into bowl of pasta and friends while stirring. Put back in refrigerator to cool, but you’ll take it out early because housework is no joke in heat like this, and you need sustenance. Eat leftovers for a week.
Yum.
